Carbon base
Designation: number of threads in one bundle. 1K: about 1000 filaments per bundle. 3K: about 3000 filaments per bundle. 6K: about 6000 filaments per bundle. 12K: about 12,000 filaments per bundle. The fiber brand is confirmed by the factory.
Warp weaving
Linen: stable geometry. Twill: increased drapability. Satin: less thread crossings. Hexagonal and 3D: special structures. Execution is confirmed by the factory.
Dry weight
Indicator: mass of 1 m² of dry carbon fabric. Program range: 120–400 g/m². Purpose: calculation of the reinforcing base. The final mass depends on the binder.
Prepreg weight
Indicator: declared mass of material with binder. Indicated in grams per square meter. Actual value varies by batch. Before ordering, the value is confirmed by the factory.
Resin content
Value: declared proportion of binder by weight. The table shows the reference point for the original program. The resin system is selected for the technology. The actual content is confirmed by the factory.
Material width
Indicator: declared roll width range. Program: 1000–1250 mm. The working width and edge are coordinated by position. The actual format is confirmed by the factory.
Nominal thickness
Indicator: declared prepreg thickness. Depends on the base and content of the binder. After molding, it changes under pressure. The calculation of the part is carried out according to the technological mode.
