Before ordering

4 mm carbon sheet: information for a quotation

Thickness is one dimension of a blank. A quotation also needs width, length, quantity and material specification. Select a particular stock item or request factory production. Stock quantities apply only to the stated specification and checking date.

Keep the original stock size designation

One source size is recorded as 500×400 mm. The 400×500 mm format page retains that original stock designation. State any material orientation requirements in your enquiry; swapping the side dimensions does not by itself confirm interchangeability.

Distinguish a blank from a finished part

For cutting, attach the part drawing and state the requested sheet size separately. Identify edge, hole and surface requirements. Tolerances and machining feasibility are agreed against the specification, not nominal thickness alone.

State quantity and supply requirements

Include the present order quantity and any known future batch requirements. Confirmed stock quantities are shown above; price and dispatch are agreed before supply. A different format can be requested from the factory.
