Before ordering

6 mm carbon sheet: from blank selection to a part order

Decide what you need delivered

A 6 mm carbon fibre sheet can be requested as a blank or as material for parts made to a drawing. For a blank, start with the format, quantity and specification. For finished parts, include geometry and a controlled drawing: the same thickness does not make two machining enquiries equivalent.

Agree the material specification

Warehouse entries are T300. T300 and T700 are available in the factory programme. Include the grade in your enquiry for a 6 mm carbon plate. Do not approve a substitution based on thickness alone. If lay-up or surface matters, list those requirements and request information for the proposed batch.

Separate blank dimensions from part dimensions

For example, 500×500×6 mm describes the blank. Submit the finished part dimensions, holes, slots and pockets in a separate drawing. State units, the number of identical parts, the visible face and acceptance dimensions. Identify any features requiring machining from both sides.

Warehouse supply or a factory order

Select a confirmed stock entry, set the required quantity and add it to the existing enquiry. Displayed balances help with purchasing plans; reservation and dispatch are confirmed when the enquiry is processed. If the available specification or quantity does not fit your project, request a factory order. Retain the agreed specification for repeat purchases.
